New White House Team at the Associated Press

The Associated Press has reshaped its White House reporting team. The new team will feature:

  • Kathleen Hennessey, who was previously a White House reporter, will now lead the team as White House editor.
  • Julie Pace, who is continuing in her role as White House correspondent.
  • Julie Bykowicz, who was previously covering national politics, covering conflicts, ethics, and influence.
  • Josh Boak, who had been covering economics, will cover economic & tax policy, as well as infrastructure and trade.
  • Ken Thomas, who will shift from national politics to covering the vice president, trade, labor politics, and relations with Congress.
  • Darlene Superville, who will continue to be a White House reporter, but will now cover the First Lady, the social calender, the new administration’s White House traditions, as well as the East Wing generally.
  • Jonathan Lemire, who previously covered national and New York City politics, will cover the President-elect’s New York businesses, operations, and links to the White House.
  • Vivian Salama, who will move from covering national security to the administration’s foreign policy and Supreme Court picks, and the future of Guantanamo bay.
  • Catherine Lucey, who has been covering national politics from Des Moines, will now focus on the president-elect’s daughter, as well as family & childcare policies and Medicare.
  • Jill Colvin, who shifts from national politics to environmental and climate issues.
