The Associated Press has announced a few moves, including a returning staff member and two job changes. Errin Haines Whack will rejoin the AP in Philadelphia Nov. 2 to cover urban affairs, particularly as they intersect with race and politics. She previously worked for the AP in Atlanta from 2005 to 2012, specializing in coverage of race and Southern politics.

In other AP news, Vivian Salama has been named deputy politics editor, and will join the Washington bureau in December. She has served as Baghdad bureau chief since June 2014, and has spent over a decade covering Middle Eastern affairs as a freelance writer or while on staff with Bloomberg News.

Finally, Matt Sedensky will be moving to the AP Nerve Center in New York to join the national reporting team. He first joined the AP in 2002, and has been stationed in Hartford, Connecticut, Honolulu, Kansas City, Missouri and currently, in West Palm Beach, Florida. While in Florida, Sedensky has focused on coverage of aging and mature lifestyle.
